This post includes affliate links, read here how these work.
It’s that time of the year again.
We all stuff ourselves silly through the whole of December.
And THEN magically overnight on New Year’s Eve try to transform ourselves into perfect angels who will stick dutifully to the latest crazy complicated, total faff diet pushed by the Sunday papers!!
Why do we fall for it every year?
ALL those long lists of obscure ingredients.
And strict rules about this, that and the other, that “may ne’er cross ya’ lips”!
The chances of 99.9% of us ever sticking to these faff-ful diets?
Tiny. Even on a good day.
BUT in January & February? The grimmest months of the year?
NOT a chance!
So what should we do?
Resign ourselves to sloth, bad cheer and a big belly until the sun shines again?
BECAUSE there are a few tiny habits that can TRANSFORM our health.
And tiny habits – if you haven’t heard – are the most awesome way to achieve big change!
These little tweaks pump our bodies full of the good stuff we’re missing.
- Clear out all that Christmas cr*p
- Beat the bulge AND the blues
- Keep the winter snuffles (and worse) away
- And put a zing back in our step
And do it far better than the latest fancy diet.
BECAUSE with NO faff or boring diet manual we can actually STICK to them.
And this year, that was exactly what I DID.
Having started the year feeling like death warmed up.
With a BIG old doctor’s warning ringing in my ears …
I stuck all year to seven, stupidly simple, tiny healthy habits.
AND got my energy back. Didn’t get sick.
GOT the doctor off my back.
AND just as importantly felt soooo much better.
Sounds good huh?
And if you want to give them a go here they are …
7 Tiny Healthy Habits
1. Start the day with 3 glasses of cold water & a slice of lemon
2. Chuck berries & seeds on oatie cereal for breakfast (or make a smoothie)
3. Enjoy a small snack of nuts & dried fruit
4. Eat an apple a day
5. Devour a bowl of quick blended vegetable soup
6. Eat good multi-grain bread
7. Eat one of these daily – egg, oily fish (e.g. salmon, sardines, tuna), pulses
They are simple as that.
Don’t worrry about anything else.
Following these tiny healthy habits everyday super charges us with good stuff.
So we stop craving those comfort props, we’re used to binging on.
BECAUSE these simply healthy habits are based on food that makes us feel stronger AND happier!
And once you stick to them bit, it doesn’t matter if you miss a few days.
As UNLIKE all those fancy diets we’re bombarded with every New Year, tiny healthy habits are NOT a major obsession you have to organise your whole life round.
They just become something we do easily. On auto pilot. Without thinking about.
And that – as I’ve discovered – is their amazing power to transform our health.
Do give them a go. And let me know how you get on.
