I love it.
When you stay.
In a hotel or B&B.
And there’s pretty cushions.
And gorgeous throws.
Vintage quilts.
And sumptuous bedspreads.
BUT let’s be honest.
Half of us have turned OUR bedrooms.
Into junk rooms.
Storing ALL the random clutter.
We have NO idea what to do with.
Including all those lovely bed accessories.
That are shoved in a box UNDER the bed.
Rather than ON it.
Making it look nice.
AND being honest. Again.
Half of them don’t even look nice any longer do they?
Because they’ve been squirreled away.
For so long.
Or were hidden away in the first place because they were tatty.
So today we’re going to take a quick honest look at our bedrooms.
And let go of all those forgotten bedroom accessories.
That are doing anything but make the space look nice …
If you’re following along with my quick daily declutter, read on. BUT if you’re new do hop back and read how just 10 things can help you declutter easily.
Just 10 Things – Bedroom Accessories
As always we’ll stick to the just 10 things rules:
- Take 5 minutes or so, 15 minutes max
- Focus on our bedroom accessories
- Open our eyes to all the stuff that is just cluttering the place up rather than making it pretty
- And without yanking stuff out
- Spot any we’re ready to let go
Keeping our eyes peeled for …
- Quilts
- Blankets
- Bedpreads
- Throws
- Valance
- Mattress toppers
- Electric blankets
- Hot water bottles
- Hot water bottle covers
- Bed cushions
Let go of anything you’re ready to.
Anything grotty.
Anything that hasn’t seen the light of day in a decade.
But don’t worry if there are things you’re unsure about.
Genuinely nice things.
You might get pleasure from.
Remember just 10 things is ALL about quickly letting go of what we’re ready to every day.
Some things we won’t be ready to let go today.
But will be tomorrow.
Or next week. Or next month.
By decluttering daily.
We see the benefits every day of more space.
And build the confidence to let go.
Until we keep only the things we truly love.
