Today I'm being nosy.
What's under YOUR kitchen sink?
Mine was a hot mess.
Of every fancy cleaner ever invented.
I never cleaned with them of course.
Oh no.
I just fell hook, line & sinker for the great marketing machine con: spend your hard earned cash on fancy cleaning products you never use and your house too will sparkle.
You too? Such a scam isn't it?
My house was just as grubby with a zillion fancy cleaners under the sink as before.
And the only thing less cluttered was my wallet!
So today we're doing a super quick dive under the kitchen sink to see what we can ditch.
If you're following along with my quick daily declutter, read on. BUT if you're new do hop back and read how just 10 things can help you declutter easily.
Just 10 Things - Fancy Cleaners
As always we'll stick to the just 10 things rules:
- Take 5 minutes or so, 15 minutes max
- Focus on fancy cleaners
- Open our eyes to stuff we NEVER EVER use
- And without yanking stuff out too much - just shove things aside a bit to pull the culprits out the back
- Spot any no brainers to let go
Now you may have fallen for different cons than me. But look out for some of these you just don't use ...
- Stainless steel spray
- Coffee machine cleaner
- Toy sanitiser
- Fridge & freezer cleaner
- Limescale remover
- BBQ cleaner
- Oven & hob cleaner
- Glass & mirror cleaner
- Granite cleaner
- Drain cleaner
And get rid of them.
Without feeling guilty.
Because if we don't use them we HAVE to chuck them at some point.
And actually better now.
BECAUSE it's been shown over and over again that the more clutter we have, the MORE we spend on stuff we don't need.
So start to break the cycle.
Don't angst over anything.
Today is all about short & sharp.
Ditching stuff we know we never use.
Over the next week, we'll be looking everyday at different kitchen consumables.
That clutter the place up.
Make it a nightmare to keep clean.
AND cost us a fortune.
So come back tomorrow for more.
