Me and my vacuum cleaner weren’t best friends.
It objected to being cursed and kicked.
As I dragged it round piles of clutter.
AND I have to tell you.
One of my fave BIG benefits of decluttering.
IS how easy it becomes to vacuum.
The other funny thing.
I found.
As I made my way day by day – slowly but surely – through my clutter.
Was how much stuff I had for cleaning floors??!!
I mean the number of mops.
Brooms. Brushes. Dust pans.
PLUS random vacuum attachments.
From lord knows when.
And for lord knows what.
So today we’re peering in our broom cupboard and saying goodbye … 😉
If you’re following along with my quick daily declutter, read on. BUT if you’re new do hop back and read how just 10 things can help you declutter easily.
Just 10 Things – Floor Cleaning
As always we’ll stick to the just 10 things rules:
- Take 5 minutes or so, 15 minutes max
- Focus on floor cleaning
- Open our eyes to duplicates and duffs
- And without yanking stuff out
- Spot any we’re ready to let go
Keep a look out for all of these …
- Floor brush
- Mop & mop heads
- Dust pan & brush
- Floor cleaner
- Floor polish
- Wooden floor cleaner
- Vacuum cleaner attachments
- Vacuum bags
- Carpet shampoo
- Carpet freshener
And pop cheapies on a Facebook freecycle group.
Or even by your gate.
Somebody will use them.
Remember every day we declutter.
It ALL adds up.
And everyday we make more space.
It becomes easier to clean.
AND quicker to clean.
Hurrah!
