Just 10 Things – 43 Hair Styling

July 5, 2018 by Alice Leave a Comment

Declutter all those brushes and combs and dryers and curlers and straighteners you're just not using that are cluttering up your bedroom and bathroom #declutter #just10things #happierwithout

How come?

When we have so many hair brushes.

We can NEVER find one when we’re scarpering around getting ready for school in the morning?

AND how come?

With all the fancy hair dryers and straighteners and rollers.

We all still have SO many bad hair days.

And might we possibly do better with less?

So today we’re checking out our hair styling equipment and letting stuff go …

If you’re following along with my quick daily declutter, read on. BUT if you’re new do hop back and read how just 10 things can help you declutter easily.

Just 10 Things  – Hair Styling

As always we’ll stick to the just 10 things rules:

  • Take 5 minutes or so, 15 minutes max
  • Focus on hair styling products
  • Open our eyes to those we have 10 of AND those we never nuse
  • And without yanking stuff out
  • Spot any we’re ready to let go

Keep your eyes peeled for any of these …

  1. Brushes
  2. Combs
  3. Detangle brush
  4. Doughnuts
  5. Rollers
  6. Hair dryer
  7. Straightener
  8. Tongs
  9. Hot brushes
  10. Heated rollers

… and ask yourself whether they’re really earning their keep.

Do you use them loads?

And if not why are they worth the space?

And if you do only use them once or twice a year to get glamorous, couldn’t you borrow for the occasion?

From a friend or local hairdresser?

Just think how much lovely space you’d free up without them.

Your dressing table top.

A good chunk of a drawer.

Wouldn’t it be nice to not have them in the way?

And the whole space to just feel calmer?

Well done for anything you decide to let go.

You may find its worth selling quickly.

You could try eBay but in my experience local Facebook groups are the most cost and time effective way to sell small electrical stuff.

Just don’t let selling it become an excuse for keeping it longer.

I hope today's gentle declutter prompt helped.
