Oooh my!
English can get tricky can’t it?
With so many different words around the world for underwear.
But we Brits call them knickers.
So today we’re going to talk about knickers.
And how come we ALL have great drawerfuls.
Half of which we would not want to be seen dead in.
Literally!!!
And rooting through them everyday to find the good ones.
Is kind of soul destroying isn’t it?
They certainly don’t make us feel good about ourselves.
Or our bodies.
So a radical idea.
Why don’t we all just keep the feel-good ones?
The ones that put a spring in our step 😉
And let go of all those sorry and forgotten and unworn.
Because how many pairs – after all – do we truly need?
If you’re following along with my quick daily declutter, read on. BUT if you’re new do hop back and read how just 10 things can help you declutter easily.
Just 10 Things – Knickers
As always we’ll stick to the just 10 things rules:
- Take 5 minutes or so, 15 minutes max
- Focus on your knicker drawer!!
- Open our eyes to those that don’t make us feel good
- And without yanking stuff out
- Spot any we’re ready to let go
Keeping our eyes peeled for all those different types we’ve fallen for over the years …
- Too small
- Too big
- Raggy
- Grotty
- Plain uncomfortable
- Thongs
- Hipsters
- Shorts
- Big girl
- High leg
And just holding onto those we’re actually comfortable in.
Well done for all those you let go.
They may be little things knickers.
But we face them every morning.
And a drawer full of grotty, grey clutter is NOT a lovely way to start the day.
Losing a load of unloved knickers.
And bras and socks and tights.
Can actually make us feel decidedly better about ourselves.
