I mean how is it, they can ALWAYS find our favourite sweater to munch through?
AND totally ignore the ten others we never really liked and don’t wear unless we’re desperate.
Grrrrrr!!!!
Well you know what?
And THIS may surprise you.
The answer is OFTEN the ten other sweaters we never wear.
PLUS all our other unworn knitwear AND coats AND winter woollies AND socks AND more.
Because ALL those forgotten clothes are the BEST breeding ground ever for moths.
And we’re NEVER going to shift the moths UNTIL we shift some of those clothes.
So today we’re going to declutter sweaters.
And let go of those the moths will miss.
But WE will be much happier without …
If you’re following along with my quick daily declutter, read on. BUT if you’re new do hop back and read how just 10 things can help you declutter easily.
Just 10 Things – Sweaters
As always we’ll stick to the just 10 things rules:
- Take 5 minutes or so, 15 minutes max
- Focus on sweaters
- Open our eyes to the moth eaten and never worn
- And without yanking stuff out
- Spot any we’re ready to let go
Keeping our eyes peeled for …
- V-necks
- Crew necks
- Polo necks
- Round necks
- Turtle necks
- Funnels
- Chunky
- Lambswool
- Cashmere
- Comedy
If they ARE moth eaten you can take them to fabric recycling where the wool at least can be reused.
Or if they’re just forgotten and never worn add them to your charity bag along with the jeans we let go yesterday.
WELL done for everything you let go.
As always remember these little daily declutters add up.
And as we let go of more clothes tomorrow and the next day and the day after that, we will start to see SPACE in our wardrobes and drawers and closets.
And that SPACE is magical.
BECAUSE it lets us see more and more clearly the clothes we actually feel good in.
